In case anyone was curious, it’s because insects aren’t listed under the endangered species act, so they looked at the list of species that are to see what category they could fit them into and they chose fish. Because sometimes fish are invertebrates and so are bees, therefore bees are fish.

…..but fish are never vertebrates how the hell did they get classified as vertebrates
skeletal fish are vertebrates and cartilaginous fish are not, i know this because I’m a shark furry and sharks are the latter
I have a bad habit of calling things “loathsome” if they mildly inconvenience me, which usually isn’t that bad, but today I spilled my drink and said “loathsome juice…” under my breath without realizing that’s not a normal thing to say
